How I work:
I offer divinations through the ancient practices of bone throwing, as well as water divination. These readings assist you to make sense of your life and path in the past, present and future. These methods are a means to give clarity and insight with the help of Divine and Ancestral Will.
What kind of consultations are available?
I offer in-person consultations for clients based in SA and virtual consultations via Skype or FaceTime for clients abroad. If you are worried you live too far from Johannesburg to come for a consultation then you may need to consult with a sangoma closer to you, you may ask family, friends or colleagues for a reference. I am certain that someone you know will know a healer you can go to.
I only avail dates on my calendars for a month at a time, so if you click on any of the calendars and there are no available dates, it means I am fully booked. Please check in every few days in case spots have become available because people have cancelled or rescheduled. Please note that I am not able to personally update people on the availability of spots in the calendar, it is up to everyone who is interested in booking to keep an eye on the calendars.
Why do consultations cost money?
Energy exchange is very important in carrying our practice, so it is important for those seeking the counsel of any healer or professional to be prepared to offer something in exchange for that person’s time and efforts to bring them healing and peace. Izangoma, like everyone value their time and their work and it is important to respect that, as one would a doctor, therapist, florist and personal trainer etc.
There are no mandated guidelines for what izangoma should or shouldn’t charge, we use our discretion and guidance to help us determine what we would like people to offer us in equal exchange for the work we do.
I have 3 calendars with different offering guidelines:
Is it like fortune telling?
It is not fortune telling, although the bones may reveal the unknown – they often do. I do not give lotto numbers, and I do not offer vague predictions on your future. My role is to connect you with the guidance of your ancestors, and to assist you to unlock their wisdom in order to bring clarity to, and enrich your path.
May I ask questions during the consultation?
Yes, you are able to ask questions directly and I will be guided by spirit to answer, granted of course that you are permitted to know, I am permitted to tell you, and that you don’t ask a silly question.
I encourage clients to prepare questions beforehand to ask during the consultation.
May I ask about a person other than myself?
It is possible to have a divination for someone who is not present or no longer living in the physical world. This of course depends on the relationship you have with that person, and whether you are permitted to know about them.
Is it evil?
There is nothing sinister or dark about divinations and the methods I use.
This practice has been around for many millennia, it is life-affirming and rooted in light.
What is the difference between bone divination and water divination?
The methods achieve the same ends, and are equally effective. These methods of divination tap into different spirit frequencies, and I am initiated in both modalities, that is why I offer both – because I have to honour the different spiritual frequencies of isiThunywa and amaDlozi.
May I record the session or take notes?
You may take notes or record our sessions for future reference. I don’t generally remember what we discuss in a conversation, so I won’t be able to repeat or revise what we spoke about once our session is over.
What if I am sick? Should I consult with you?
I encourage people to take responsibility for their health by paying close attention to their physical and emotional needs, and seek healing across different modalities, for a holistic view of their wellbeing. While our spiritual and physical health are related, the methods for healing them may differ.
Can you help me interpret my dreams?
Yes. Please record your dreams and tell me about them during our consultation. Please note that not all dreams have specific or significant meaning, no matter how recurring or vivid.
